My first introduction to Jesus Christ was when I was only two weeks old. As I grew I naturally had questions about eternal life. Vividly, I remember the evening that I believed and Jesus became my Savior. My mother explained to me the simple story of God's love and Christ's sacrifice. I recognized that I was a sinner, and that I could never enter heaven without my sins being forgiven. We prayed together. My life was wonderfully changed.
Most of my childhood memories are those of church fellowships, choir practices, work days, visitation and many Christian friendships. Being regularly involved in the activities of a local Baptist church has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. While in high school, I was able participate in many church-sponsored missions trips. During that time, the Holy Spirit began prompting me in the area of foreign missions. I attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, USA, knowing that one day I would like to be in the Lord's work full-time.
After graduation, the Lord provided an opportunity for me to work directly with Baptist Bible Fellowship missionaries, David & Bonnie Jones and with John & Julie Kirkland in Dodoma, Tanzania. It was during that time that I became fully aware of God's plan for my life. I worked as Missions Intern at Park Crest Baptist Church from 1996 to 1998, and was approved as a Baptist Bible Fellowship missionary to the country of Tanzania in May 1998. After raising awareness for the spiritual needs of the Tanzanian people during deputation, I moved to Morogoro to learn Swahili & team up with Vernon & Mary Smith and Tom & Joanne Foltz. Presently, I am working in Moshi with Bob & Dee Dodson and the Bible Baptist Church of Kilimanjaro.
